Japanese photographer using medium-format P&S?

I remember seeing work from a Japanese photographer who was using a MF P&S for street photography (perhaps a series on a beach?)
I thought it was Daido Moriyama and a GA645Z, but no combination of those seems to pull it up.

Any chance a RFFer knows what I'm thinking of?

Was it Shinya Arimoto and his Hasselrad SWC?

Moriyama Daido uses a Ricoh GR1 (iirc) ...
Araki Nobuyoshi on the other hand uses MF most of the time ... with a big Makina 6x7 ...
he has something called "Young Ladies in Bathing Suits" not sure if that is what you saw.

Check out Max Pam, "Indian Ocean Journal". He is Australian though and has been shooting throughout Southeast Asia for years. He uses medium format.
