Jean Vigo was a talented filmmaker and important even though he made only four films. Frequently mentioned in the books of film history for its influence on the surrealist cinema, art films and French New Wave films. His film style was a poetic synthesis of art and film. As entertaining film ambitions, Vigo was employed briefly by the study of Franco's cinema as a camera assistant.
