Not sure if this is the correct category for this post, if not, sorry Joe! Do we have a category for listing interesting internet sites? Might be useful.
I've just come across Jeffrey Friedl’s Blog. Very cool and worth a look IMO. Mainly about Japan where he lives and digital cameras, but the level of detail he goes into and the clarity of his writing is quite something.

Agreed. I found his site 18 months ago and he most certainly opened my eyes, particularly in respect of colour and monitor calibration.

Looked at it and it was mainly a running commentary of a kid (his?) playing in the rain and going on a factory tour. Am I missing something?

Jeffrey's tech stuff is mixed in with his family stuff. Here's a great analysis of Nikon raw files:

I hung out with Jeffrey in Tokyo in the mid '90s. He's also contributed a lot in the Japanese/English on-line translators as well as a lot of key stuff at Yahoo.

While sRGB is the default color space of digital cameras, it is Adobe 1998 that is the standard by which most photo agencies and printing establishments use. I have yet met anyone at a photo agency or printer who asked that files be saved in sRGB.
