Jesus Christ Truck Stop

Whenever i see an image that relies heavily on words, I always ignore the wording to see if the picture holds up on it's own (if i didn't speak english, the words would just be a graphical element.) While the 'cleverness' of the image is lost when removing the wordage, the image is quite lovely.

also...what is interesting, that i noticed after removing the words from the image (in my brain...i didn't do some crazy monster photoshop to someone else's image) is that the advert for the chicken and whatever that bit is on the roof that sticks up a bit makes a cross with the horizontal bit. so in my own twisted sense of humor i'm seeing some fried chicken being crucified.

if they weren't sinning Friday or Saturday, why would they go to church on Sunday?

I'm reminded of visiting a buddy 30 some years ago in Charlotte, NC, where Strip Clubs outnumbered churches...
 
Love the initial shot a lot. As I said in another thread, it could be used in an ad for MF transparency film, any day. Really pops.
