Hi,

I develop my B/W 35mm and 120mm films 'normally' in a tank with 4 inversions every minutes. I now have a Jobo CPE2 and was wondering if I were to use the constant rotation would my negs come out differently and if so, to what degree.

To date I have been using Ilfosol 3 exclusively. Though happy to try another developer if it better suits constant agitation.

I was hoping to use the CPE2 for 4 x5 negs in order to save on chemicals but I could also half my chemical use with the smaller films as well, so why not?

Cheers - John

For constant agitation you usually have to adjust developing time - reduce by 10-15%. I never used Ilfosol, so could not advise, but with xtol or d76 I could not see a significant difference vs results with a few inversion a minute.
