Ok...

I am on the scrounge for advice :)

After much looking and debating, I have just had a Jobo CPE2 and loads of bits and pieces fall into my lap for a silly price, so cheap it was a total no brainer...

I am looking for constructive help and advice generally, but I do have one main question that nobody seems to be able to answer, so hopefully some of you guys and gals can...

I usually use fotospeed chemistry, I am happy with quality, price etc and even now it is SOOOOO easy to get here in the UK, my only concern is I have heard tales that bleach/fix with an indicator dye can have very bad effects in rotary processing, worst case is apparently dyeing your negatives!!!!

I see fotospeed do a special "machine" BFix, but it seems more geared to automatic chemical replenishment etc etc...

For simple black and white work, can anyone suggest a good B/Fix suitable for this machine?

Any suggestions for fotospeed chemistry would be ideal, but I am open to other options too...

Thanks

Matt

I never heard that but if the mfg. states it, then ask them. I am not familiar with that company, You can use Ilford, Kodak without any problems.

Cheers Fotch...
I will look into it, I know that Ilford used to advise against the use of ilfostop (with indicator dye) as apparently it also had a risk of dyeing negs...

Fotospeed have said to use there machine B/Fix, but its big selling point is they reckon it can be fixed and dried by machine in 70 seconds!!!! So it is definately aimed at fully automated processors, not rotary...

Its hard to get good info here in the UK as most of the companies and local shops that used to be a mine of information don't exist any more :(
