This is kind of cool. John Cyr's photo project: Famous Developer Trays and Famous Developer Trays with an interview. In the interview Cyr discusses digital and film. From the interview:
Digital is great and very useful and essential in photography today, but as far as appreciation of prints goes, I find a well executed silver print is a true object of beauty … not only because of what the print looks like, but because of all the work, both physically and chemically, that has gone into its unique production. Because of all the physical work that goes into silver printing, I thought that it was import to show the place, the developer tray, where images first become a photograph.
