i recently emailed John about a possible repair of Olympus 35 RC. He replied that he now only will work on OM bodies and he's in the process of retiring. He gave me permission to post the following for people requiring their Olympus gear:
"PLEASE READ THIS: As of 7/1/2024: I am cutting way back so I can retire! I now service ONLY (5) OM Products FROM USA ONLY: OM-1N,
2N, 3Ti, 4T and 4Ti w/normal lenses (ONE NORMAL LENS PER BODY). That's it! (1) body can have (1) 50mm lens with it.
! No separate lenses, Information found here supersedes everything on my website. NO in person drop-offs. Customer responsible for
ALL shipping charges when sending something to Camtech. If donating: It is REALLY appreciated but I can use BODIES and LENSES ONLY!
Please, NO ACCESSORIES! When sending a repair, please do NOT send film OR camera case, and please include ALL contact and
repair information (including shipping address) WITH the camera, NOT by separate email. Thank you! ANY NEW TAMPERING CARRIED OUT BY
THE CONSUMER AFTER I FIX A CAMERA COMPLETELY VOIDS MY WARRANTY SO, PLEASE THINK TWICE BEFORE GETTING "ADVICE" OFF OF REDDIT.
