On the M8 you can use both the B&W 092 or 093, depending on the desired effect. I am not aware of any "original" Leica IR pass filter. You can find a nice thread on GetDPI forums, with a list of suitable lenses.

For that price I would buy a new B&W. Scratch-free, newer technology, more precise cutoff, etc...
Those are more for collectors than for users. And do they fit your lenses? Canon has different thread sizes from Leica, maybe one Leitz is fit for your Summar, come to think of it. If not B&W, Heliopan has a wide range of sizes.

just got a 50 cron, collapsible, rare earth and a 28mm canon 3.5 today --- had a financial windfall --- but these were the filters in question - --- am just trying to find the tolerances before i start buying filters --- the ranges where ir is good- - - i used to shoot a lot of ir film and do some digital ir

092 transmits IR from 720 Nm, with a soft deep red falloff to 600 Nm . 093 gives a harsher result with a sharp cutoff at 800-900 Nm. Both can be used on the M8. 092 is more suitable for faux-colour work.
