New York July 10th shoot-out with a live model

On my many wanderings carrying cameras around NYC, I meet all kinds of people. Manola is a front man for a reg-gay, R&B band, aspiring actor/performance artist who needs some head shots/ promo shots that capture an urban feel. Manola is a good looking, young African-American who is fit. Like me he has a day job but lives on the fringe in Bushwich.

The urban backdrop fore shooting will include 5 Pointz, the LIC luxury waterfront with Madhattan in the background, and the bowels of New York in Hunters Point. Manola will be ready with a wardrobe.

If you are interested in joining us meet us at the M. Wells Dinner, 21-17 49th Ave at 21st Street, in LIC at noon on July 10th. The dinner is a short walk from PS1 and 5 Pontz. The dinner is right there at the Hunters Point stop on the 7 train.

Should be fun working with a model for an afternoon of shooting.

Also Dan Wagner will be joining us. At the Mermaid Parade he made me laugh. He had no problem working his subjects like paid models after he set the hook by asking, "Can I take your picture?" After that he owned them. LOL.

Also Dan has done a lot of studio work and has worked with pro models before.

Another time. I have a lot of musician friends, but unfortunately they always call me at the last minute when they have a gig. Always fun and a bit crazy hanging with musicians, but oh what fun.

Also later there is this Red Bull invention display going on at Macarren Park in Greenpoint. Always good street shooting at these kinds of events.

I totally know what you're talking about, heh. Mine tend to plan ahead quite a bit so at least I know it's coming... Always fun shooting in the near dark with the 1,1/50 Nokton. 🙂



Wow, what the hell was I looking at? Probably June, LOL. I'll have to give this some thought, then.

For me its a 75 Lux or a Noct-Nikkor.
