Hello,
June 1st is a national celebration for independent small retailers and shops. I thought I'd raise this as commercial giants are forcing us down mass-consumer routes, a sizeable (thinking) majority still wish to preserve our culture, legacy and quality of lifestyle by exercising the choice to shop in an independent retailer.
In England, last year the Small Shops Party Group warned that 21% of independent shops had been forced into closure by large commercial hypermarkets, higher rents and high parking fees, discouraging and making trading harder for family-owned stores or independents.
Even if people pop into their local independent store and support it by purchasing something of a small value on that day, the support for the small independent retailer will be greatly appreciated.

Just thought I'd post this for people's information: we live in a mass photographic market determined more and more by consumer models which take perverse satisfaction in every opportunity to try and distort and discourage film users with their 'film is dead threads'.
Support your local independents!

I'll shop where the cheapest prices are.
I'd like for small shops to stick around only so that I can go there and window shop.
