JUPITER 11 mount...which is which?

i just need a M39 mount for my Leica M3. which of the first two? could both shapes be available in both mounts or would one shape would be distinct to just one mount? now for the Fed, i would still need a viewfinder right? please help😕 :bang:

You want the second one. The Zenit lenses won't work on an RF.

but what about this one? it says it could fit the leica...and it says M39

...so this won't fit my M3?

It is for a Zenit. It won't focus properly on a Leica.
They'll say anything in an ad. 😉

When looking at M39 mount lenses. Check for the RF focusing collar at the rear of the lens. The Zenit lenses won't have the collar. They will screw in, but won't focus.

would you happen to have pics of both or links so i can compare? 🙂

The Zorki/Leica thread J-11's are the long thin ones. The stubbier ones are either Zenit or Kiev. Below is a pic of my Jupiter-11.

M39 = Leica, canon screw mount etc.
M42 = known as Pentax screw mount, etc. For SLRs.

the m39 zenit, will fit, but won't focus. I found this out the hard way.
