Can someone tell to me if a jupiter 12 fit correctly on my canon 4sb2?
I think that's not possible. Is that true?
thanks in advance :bang:

First of all, welcome :)

Well, I haven't tried that comboy myself but the J12 is certainly a tricky lens. If you're thinking about buying one, I'd wait for somebody who has tried that before. Also, even between the same lens there are built differences between some generations, so it's a matter of trying carefully.

If it wasn't a bottom loader, I'd tell you to look through the open shutter while screwing, but I guess that if you get it you'll have to rely on 'touch' to see if the lens has collided with something inside the camera...

Have you considered a Canon/Serenar 35/2.8 instead ?

My black '79 J-12 screwed properly on a friend's IVSB2. It didn't seem to hit anything inside and shutter fired normally.

Hope this helps!

Thank you very much, and what about the quality?

We didn't shoot with the J12/IVSB2, my friend wanted to try it since he is also thinking of buying one. I've used the J12 on screw mount bodies except the Bessa R [doesn't fit] - Zorki 6, Fed 2s and IIIf - with very satisfying results. If you do a search of previous threads in this forum you will find a lot of praises for its capabilities.
