I've got a jupiter 3 (got it you know where) that just showed up and its great looking with one exception. I've contacted the seller to see if he's willing to do anything about it. I wouldn't be surprised if this was caused by shipping. Looks like its got a couple loose aperture blades, and wont open up all the way. It looks ok at f2, but as I close it down, it appears to look pretty funky. The aperture isn't round, its kinda tear shaped, and it looks like there are a couple blades out of place. Is this even worth opening up to try and fix if the seller wont do anything about it? If its not fixable, is it possible to remove the apature blades entirely? I would most likely be using it wide open most of the time anyways.
I did check focus with it.. It looks pretty damned close. I don't have a loupe to check it closer.
