I recently received a Jupiter 8 from fellow RFF member randolph45 (thank you!) via the annual RFF Christmas Giveaway. The focus ring on this lens is misaligned with the distance scale on the lens and was wondering if I could simply loosen the tiny screws on the outside of the focus ring, adjust accordingly, and then re tighten them to fix this problem. I just shot a roll using this lens on the Zorki 4 it came with and it did focus accurately using the camera's rangefinder - so that's not a problem. I have attached a couple photographs of the lens with the focus ring turned to it's max close focus and far focus. Thanks!

If the lens focusses correctly, according to the RF, then you can move the ring around as you said. Be careful when loosening the screws, if they come out they are very easily lost! I'd do it over some sort of tray if I were you.
