There is no need for serial number to date tables, the first two digits are the date it was made.

I think the first two numbers of the serial number are the year of manufacture. Also, old ones chrome, newer ones black. Joe

just checked, my chrome jupiter serial number starts with 68, so 1968, incidently what was the first years of production for this lens

According to this fabulous site, the Jupiter-8 name would appear in 1950/'51, with the lens itself being in production as early as 1947 under the ZK and (by about 1949) Zorki ZK labels.
