This is one tricky lens to shoot with but when it works it is something special. Spent all day yesterday stripping it down and not quite sure she's back to together right. Focus is still hit and miss.

But I am going to persevere. The glass is beautiful and on the R-D1 it is pure camera porn 🙂

Cheers,

I not only have trouble focussing with my J9 on the R-D1, I also have trouble aiming it properly. An external 85/90mm vf isn't quite working, but neither is using the R-D1's own vf center spot. Too bad, really, because I think it is a wonderful lens.

I just guesstimate through the normal VF. So far so good. I like it too and it's kind of fun wondering if the focus will be spot on.. 🙂
