Jupiter 9 rangefinder focus beyond infinity.

When focusing my Jupiter 9 on my Fed, Zorki or Leica IIIF the rangefinder cam is pushed beyond infinity, the Jupiter 9 focusing scale does not go beyond infinity, all my other lenses ie Summitar, Elmar and Jupitar 12 are ok.

Any suggestions?

It sounds like the tolerances are off, the lens was mis-assembled, or someone has asjusted it for use on a Leica.

Take some test pictures on the Leica and check results. It is hard to get all three, distance scale, RF, and actual focus to agree. Settle for RF and actua focus. If those two do not agree, you need to shim the lens or polish down the RF cam of the lens.

Thanks for your advise, I think I will need to polish the cam otherwise the scales will be in the wrong orientation, wish me luck.
