Those scans above are interesting, nice illustrations, but total gibberish as far as reading them. Might as well be in Greek or Hebrew. But after all, it was Russia.

It's interesting that FSU lenses have pretty decent reputations, while many of the cameras seem hit-or-miss. But it's been said before that the lens takes the picture, while the camera is just a box to put the film in. Apparently the comrades followed that line of thinking.
 
I remember that there is a Chinese RFFer who used cine lenses on his FSU´s.

One of the reasons a lack of regular supply with spare parts ands a) in the Eastern Countries a)the lack of "authorized" repairshops b) in the west the fact that they were comparatively cheap and it was cheaper to get a new camera.
