I have Nikon SLR stuff & Mamiya RB stuff but felt I was missing something...so I bought a 'cheepie' Kiev 4am off eBay for the RF experience. I liked it, minus the 'recoil' these russian bricks have...and I happened to have a friend unloading an R2 so...

I just got a Bessa R2 (olive), Heliar 15/4.5, & grip. 😀

For those here that shoot B&W, how is the contrast and tonal rendition of the Heliar 15? Which way is it biased (contrast or tones)? Any examples?

Welcome 🙂 The olive R2 is a hot looking camera, I almost got one myself 🙂 And the lens, you'll love it! I am shooting my first roll of B&W film with the 15mm lens, so I dont know what its like yet with contrast and tones. Its all good with colour. I belive there are some B&W shots in the gallery someplace with the 15mm lens. Good luck!
