Sorry if this is a popular question!

I just bought an M8 and have tried loading the Leica-Digital-Capture-1.0.5.mpkg software from the supplied CD ROM onto my MAC.

It seems to load OK but will not run when I try and open it! As a result the MAC doesn't seem to be seeing the camera... Apparantly the software is for an earlier operating system but it states in the readme that it is forward compatable...

Any ideas or pointers would be welcomed! How can I get my MAC to see the camera?!

Regards

Simon

Never bothered with Capture.

My two tips would be try Adobe Lightroom and get a card reader. Opening the little flap on the camera to plug it in tends to weaken it over time. The metal baseplate is a lot more durable.

Have fun with your M8!

This soft works on a Mac but only until OSX 10.4.11. So if you have a leopard ore even a snow leopard in your Mac it's a no go.

-with Apple image capture you should see your cam. Better to get a card reader and use Lightroom, Capture One, Aperture, Adobe Bridge...

Thanks guys! I now have a card reader and all is well!

Regards to all...

there is a utility on your mac that will let you download all or some images in case you loose your card reader.

Its called Image Capture. look it up in your application folder, its pretty decent and lets you shoot tethered (without preview)
