The four element silver job with modified Tessar formula (not the GN Nikkor). I have wanted one for a while. This one is a "factory-refurbished" (read, demo model.) You know, the tiny, silly, overpriced one, for silly guys who buy stuff like that for whatever reason? I got it from Cameta Camera on the big auction site. So, this will be my new toy for a while, and I'm excited, now I get to wait a few days for it to arrive.

Just felt like sharing that!

I got it. Seems to work very well with the manual focus assist on my D200. Better than my other MF Nikkors, in fact. I've only tried it around twilight so far, at ISO 1600 and f4 handheld, so I have not yet seen the best it can do.

Think your going to like it, a lot I think too :)
Had mine for a year and a bit, works perfectly on my D300, and fits the FM excellent too.
Think it´s a lens to enjoy for many years as long as you don´t misplace it , its tiny without the hood an the filter.

And do post your photos here!
