I've never bought from that seller, but I have noticed his auctions on quite a few occasions. And I have been tempted by his stuff more than once :D . It looks as though you got a good deal.

I concur with Roland, good price on that lens. I have not purchased anything from coltur75, but seller often has nice gear for sale. Good luck!

iirc, i have bought from him before and w/o problem.

he has been around for a long time and has had lots of canon gear for sale.

and everyone knows that canadians are fine to deal with ;)

Congrats! That's a great price. Cosmetically that looks very clean -- hope the blades and glass are perfect for you too! The 1.4/50 is a lovely lens -- great OOF rendering imo.

It's a great lens, and the price is what they went for several years ago! You got a good deal.

A good deal

A good deal

I got the same lens - also on eBay - for $250. Very nice clean glass, very sharp lens. The helicoid is a bit sticky and I'll have to relube it eventually.
You got the best price I've seen - if only by a small margin!

A friend just got one lens recently and the description is totally way off. It had fungus and marks when it was described as not. Also, to be sure, I ordered the 50mm f1.2 and hood and was charged $70 for postage! This is the most anyone has charged me for an eBay transaction. Of course, for using Paypal, he charged me another 4%.

I will see what the condition of the lens is when it comes (perfect glass is described, that is, no haze, fungus, scratches, marks, separation).

Great Price!

I just sold a beautiful EX++/Mint Minus one last week for $300 w/caps and it had a full CLA - it was a sacrifice for $$$ to buy my IIIC K Grey this weekend - but it went to a great new owner, thanks Leo! :D

thats another reason not to use paypal. but that shipping charge is just out of line. i cant imagine even overnight shipping COD costing that, let alone someones time to pack it.

I have bought a couple lenses from this seller too. Both were in excellent condition as described.

Lens is: Item number: 260236373650
Hood is: Item number: 260236373650

I'm overseas, and combined shipping is really expensive. From the US, it costs me only about $35 max.

The shipping cost +4% is a high, but I'm overseas and I was the one that choose PayPal - the seller offer alternatives that where cheaper (overseas tracking is expensive everywhere, i sopose).

According to the User Agreement of paypal and ebay, surcharges are not allowed.

I think he stated that for Paypal, I had to contact him first. I have to check, but US$70 postage for a lens and a hood is very expensive. Actually, it is a rip off. I will not be surprised if the shipping is actually way less. Also, what is the use of stating combine shipping when it actually means "Pay More" sucker?
