Just checking in

I am currently on vacation in China visiting my sister, and having a lot of fun. I was not going to check in until I got back, but my dad took a good picture of me and my Retina III S in action. He does not have a very good digital, but I could not resist posting it.

It is dry here in Beijing, but it is freezing 🙄 The cold has not had too much of a detrimental effect on my equipment, but the Retina's framelines got stuck for a little while after I used the 85/4.

I also have to say that I slightly miscalculated the amount of film that I needed, and have restocked with Lucky brand film. I am definitely keeping my fingers crossed. 😉

And, before I forget, the air here is so dry that, when I develop my film, one roll is already dry by the time that I finish with another 😀 😀 It is like doing my film iniside a giant film dryer.

Hey Richie -- tell your father he might want to change the date stamp on his camera -- he's only 50 years out of date! (Though something about the look of the picture makes it seem like a Kodachrome of about that vintage.)
