I am really curious about the gears used in Voigtlander Bessa R2. Are they metal or plastic? Anyone here has taken a peek under the shell of a R2? 🙂

Go email Huw Finney of Photo.net. He would know because I found out about R2 RF adjustment from his website.

Alternatively, you can disassemble your R2 to find out yourself. That makes a really good excuse to buy future R3 since you've promised your boss, eh I meant wife, not to buy anymore Voigtländer products with your PII bwahahahahahahaha *evil*

Hi Kris,

Thanks for the information on R2 adjustment! I have always wanted to do it for sometime. I have also sent an e-mail to Huw Finney regarding the information on the gears of R2. As for opening up the R2, I would leave it to the technical experts. The wife AKA boss would not take excuse such as I spoiled my R2 honey so could I get a R3? 😛
