Well-known
I thought I would let all the film users on this wonderful forum know about this film grant that is being offered by MJR. MJR is a collective group of young photojournalists based in New York. They actively support film photography and their members produce some outstanding and inspirational images. Their website is http://www.wearemjr.com if you want to check out some of their work.
Anyway, here's the skinny on the film grant they are offering to film photographers from all corners of the world.
I know that many members here are incredibly talented photographers who deserve an opportunity to be acknowledged. This could be your chance! Plus, it's a great way to show your support to a photographic collective that actively promote and celebrate the medium of film photography. Best of luck to all participants.

"Dear Artists,
The members of MJR are organising a US$500 Film Grant for those lovers of analogue capture in an effort to add our little contribution to the encouragement of a way of photo-life that appears to be fighting an uphill battle for survival.
In a climate where analogue printing is fast becoming defunct due to the scarcity of processors and available papers, we plan on riding the Analogue Capture Express for as long as physically possible.
As a part of the launch for this film grant, I am putting together a slideshow that features the work of various artists throughout the world and across genres that are still working with film. It is a little visual ode to showcase the beautiful and abundant imagery that is being created on film and the sheer dedication/foolhardy faith that is poured into each photographer's labour of love.
This effort is not about the individual photographer. It is not about getting your name blown up in lights and accolades to your commitment to film. It is about the photo. The artefact. The physical result of our efforts and that which will be left behind long after we are gone.
The slideshow will be a cascade of images and your name as a contributing artist will be added to the list of those others who are joined in this effort to remind the silent, morpheous world wide web and it's viewers that we are here, we are producing, and look, look, look at the magic that ensues.
All we are asking is a minimum of 1 image, maximum of 10. 1200px on the longest side @ 72dpi. Pop it in an email to: ying at yingangphoto dot com and don't forget your name if you want to be credited.
Of course, you are all invited to participate in applying for the grant and we look forward to seeing your work!
