My 66th birthday present to myself. First Leica I've bought since 1985. I'm glad I hung on to my collection of M lenses.

You deserve it. If not now, when? Go for it. Good pics, BTW.

Good for you. Tell us about your Lenses.
I have a 21/2.8 Elmarit-M, 35/2.0 Summicron IV, a collapsible Summicron 50, a rigid Summcron, the Summicron v3, a Summilux 50 and a 90/2.0 Summicron.
I bought most of them new in the mid-80s, except for the two older Summicrons, which I got in the 70s.

Congratulations, Ron. Is it the regular M10 or the M10 R? I got the regular one, and I am happy with it. I use it almost each day for local photography. This morning, it was images of our cat. I set the M10 to ISO higher than usual, and I used my 75mm Lux wide open. I bet that most images will be unsharp

These are all excellent lenses.

It's the regular M10, and, having had it only 4 days, I'm really happy with it.
The price was a good deal less than the M10R, plus I don't have to upgrade my Lightroom and Photoshop.
It's really nostalgic to be shooting a Leica again. I started with an M3 in the 70s, upgraded twice to the M3 that I still have.
I bought an M6 in 1985, used it extensively, and finally sold it a few years ago since I just wasn't shooting film often enough.

Congrats!! What a great birthday present to yourself! And very nice photos, too! I’m in my late sixties, and got the M-E 240 in 2019 when it briefly made its appearance. Been totally happy with it. When it finally dies, I’ll look for an M10.

I've owned an iteration of every Leica M digital (except the M11, of course) and the M10 is by far my favorite. The M9 beats them all as to color renditions, but still - the M10 is a keeper! And IMHO the M10's B&W conversions rival that of the M 246 Monochrom!

Birthday Leica's are the best. I hope you have a lot of good times with the M10, Ron.

Congrats! And Happy Birthday. I don't think most of us here could have waited 35 years to buy a new Leica, but some are way more disciplined. It has got to be interesting jumping right to the M10 from film M's. Enjoy the camera and great first "roll" of photos.

Many thanks to all. I got more than my money's worth from that M6, and then sold it for what I paid (although now, of course, they're going for 2-3 times that).
I kept most of the lenses I'd accumulated, using them on m4/3 cameras, Fujis and still on my a7RIII.
I'd toyed for years with the idea of getting a digital Leica, and the time finally seemed right.
I'm slowly re-acclimating myself to rangefinder focusing, but my right thumb keeps reaching for the wind lever.
