just got bitten by the MF folder bug...

Just got a Zeiss Ikon with 105mm f3.5 Tessar on a Syncro Compur shutter as a present for my GF. Had a test drive before boxing it up and now i'm hooked! 😀

Now I want to get myself a folder as well. It will mostly be used for portaiture and to compliment my 4x5 set up when travelling. I'm torn between a Plaubel Makina 670 or a Bessa III :bang:

Can anyone tell me which one will focuse closer?
Which one is lighter? and if you were in my shoes, which one would you choose?

Thank you very much for taking the time to reply. Yes I agree with you on the feel of the older cameras. The camera really did change my approach to photography. I really felt like I was shooting with an antique, and I didn't have to worry about getting every thing spot on. As a matter of fact I didn't even have a meter when I tested the camera, just sunny 16 - 2 stops for a smoggy day and everything came out great. It's really amazing to see how good the results were! If I had more time to shoot for my self I'd definitely keep the Ikon for myself 🙂

However I will be shooting a lot of travel and editorial work in the future and I am looking for something a little more precise to take along with me when I'm shooting with the 4x5. I think the Bessa III would suit me quite well! Thanks again for your help!🙂
