Just got Retina IIIC

Hi all, I'm a newbie to a range finder camera.
I've just got Kodak Retina IIIC with Schneider
50 mm f2.0 & 35 mm f5.6. the camera is in a good condition and light meter still working. One question is : do i need to find a light meter cover? (to let it sleep sometime for longer life) As I've seen in some Retina picture.

Hi Welcome!
I have a IIIc. Generally it's a good idea to cover up the light meter....although you never know when it stops working from one moment to the next.
The covers you see with other models are not really protective covers but used to adapt to different light situations
 
The cover that came with the camera was to use it as an incident light meter- a little opaque plastic lens. The ever-ready case served to keep light off of the meter. My IIIc is still accurate, as are my other Kodak Retina cameras with meters. The meter was made by Gossen, and is quite good. It is a sealed unit. The original IIIc was a "two-zone" meter, the little metal plate that you see over the meter's "bug-eyes" is to reduce the light falling on it for bright scenes. The cover flips up for low-light. The late IIIc and IIIC got rid of the two-zone system.
