50 summicron in ltm -- rare earth/radioactive, cleanest, prettiest summicron i've ever seen - serial 994573, looks brand new --

28mm canon 3.5 - all chrome, finder, caps, leather case, looks like it just came from the factory -

so, it seems I'll be doing lots of shooting for the weekend

complete kit now is:
m8, 50 summar, 50 summicron (can never have enough 50's), 28mm canon, 25mm canon

Enjoy that Summicron! I've got a rare earth copy as well...extremely clean, serviced by Youxin. Serial 921714. I'm envious of your Canon. I can't get enough of the Serenars. As far as bang for the buck goes...they can't really be beat!

i had one 28mm canon 3.5 serenar, sold it to dc sang who in turn sold it to franks who wouldn't part with it period.

this is the older, all chrome, the one i had before was the serenar with the black middle parts --- it's really elegant looking, the finder is clean,

all looks great on my black m8 --- one of my favorite lenses --- i know some people don't like it, but it's good for me

I would kill for a really clean radioactive 50mm Summicron LTM.
The last one advertised as clean which I bought had a bad haze which could not be removed completely. :(

I wonder if it was the perfect specimen I returned to Jim Kuhl decades ago.

Why someone would want a lens that turns color pics yellow brown is unknown to me.

Is UV light fix permanent? Who knows. I do not want to keep reaping forever.

50mm Leica and Canon, both good

50mm Leica and Canon, both good

Leica Summicron collapsible 1042220, and Canon 50mm f1.4.

Both good lenses.

I returned 5 copies of the Summicron until I got a perfect one on EBay. It's a beaut lens; I don't have aspirations for a modern one.

cheers Dave S :)
