... catching up on a little scanning.

I hate having waited so long to develop and then scan this roll. It was just a test roll, I am pretty sure I ripped open the box, slapped the DR Summicron on the M3 and let her rip. Nothing special, but I like what I got. I like the lens too...

The build quality of old (1950s ish) lenses is amazing. The DR is built like a tank and the rigid Summicron is on the same level. I will add in my Canon 50/1.5 and Chrome 50/1.8, just super craftsmanship. Such a difference from all modern lenses, including those from Leica. They just don't build them like they used to.

A couple days later, I saw the schooner tacking in the harbor on my way to work, pulled over and ran out to get some shots. It tacked away from the pier just before it got to the exact point that I was waiting for it reach.

Very nice pics rover and a couple of the expressions on your boy are great! 🙂 And what an imperious cat...

You are right about the older lenses. I must be weird because I like modern camera bodies but prefer mainly older lenses, for the build quality but especially for the look they give.

Thanks Peter, he is quite a ham, lots of character. These are just snapshots, but not bad ones I guess. A slice of life.

The couch needs to be thrown away, but I won't do it until the dogs are too frail to jump up onto it.

Yeah, we got Molly, my other dog, as a puppy, gave her a bath when we got her home, and my wife put out a couple towels and a heating pat on the couch for her to rest on. She slept overnight there without moving, it was already over. Calvin came to us a year later as a 1 year old rescue dog and he learned pretty quickly how comfortable the couch is.
