The most expensive lens I bought so far is my 3.5/21 (MC version) for 380 Euro which I paid to a well known shop in Vienna. But no regrets, I wanted it and I like the lens.
Just how much of a Zuikoholic are you?

My last and most expensive second hand Zuiko purchase was an 18mm f3.5 complete with original caps and the rare 49-72mm filter adapter, along with a B&W 72mm multicoated filter. I paid around $1,000 for it. Would never have paid that much for it, except the chance to get one in good condition (with pristine rear and bulging front elements) and with that filter adapter might not come around so easily again. Price was high, but not out of line for what this lens is going for these days.

That's a fair price. Other than the "great whites" it's one of the most expensive Zuikos.

Yeah, it is one of the rarer Zuikos that come up for sale. I find that the 250mm f2.0 and 180mm f2.0 are generally the most difficult to find for sale. Some 350mm f2.8 lenses are generally always available on Ebay. The 18mm and 8mm fisheye generally are the next most rarely seen for sale as far as I see. The 24mm shift and 35-80 f2.8 are more expensive than the 18mm, but seem to be more available on a regular basis.
I actually paid a bit more than a $1,000 for my 18mm, but received a $150 refund from the seller because it has a little oil mist on one of the interior elements (I'm getting it serviced soon). But otherwise, the lens is in great shape. I did make a $3,000 bid for a 250mm f2.0 in nice shape a few months ago, but fortunately(!) my bid was declined and the lens sold for $4600. I think I was a bit out of my mind with Zuikoholism there.

I am probably one of the worst zuikoholics here but *no* lens is worth $3000. Not even the "great white" Zuiko.
That person who bought the lens for $4600 has more money than sense.

Hehe... wish I had more money than sense. I wonder how that 250mm f2 zuiko compares to the superb canon/nikon 200mm f2's....

Zuikos are little jewels. Over the years, I sold my 21/2 and 85/2 on RFF (to Roland, IIRC?) but still have the 28/2, 35/2, 50/2 and 100/2 as well as a couple of bodies. Great thread... I think I will take them out for a spin this weekend.

i dropped around 800 $ for a mint 35-80 some years ago, never regretted that purchaise, i have yet to see a better zoomlens for any brand
