Tried to find one second hand, but the only one that came up last year was in Oz. Pains me, but I have dug deep to buy this technial camera. Although it is designed for digital backs, I will used my Mamiya 6x8 back on it. All that money, and it is scale focus (OK I have a ground glass focus back for it as well).

An Alpa swa 12 was in the running, but even secondhand prices are wallet crunching. Also accessary prices are just Sky high. It was at the top of my list, but I chose something else. Arca Rm3di, nearly, but a little to big, and I have not seem one for sale second hand. Cambo wrs was the final choice. Paired with a Schneider Xl 38mm.

Snark alert;
When you said "new film camera" my first thought was that, excluding Lomo and Instax, leaves only about 12 possibilities in the whole world.

I have purchased the Mamiya roll film back adapter for the Cambo ( another new purchase). The supplier informed me, there is not much call for them i.e. it could be the 1st or 2nd they have sold

Oh, the maximum rise looks like 26mm

Issues. Standard plastic grips are solid and feel part of the camera, but are very smooth and wished I had gone for the 1250 with biggwr wooden grips. Othe issue, I can't flip the back 90 degrees. Therefore 26mm rise is in lamdscape format, only 20mm in portrait.

This is my $100 3D-printed camera that I use a 38mm XL on, for 6x9 (similarly can be used on 6x12). Not many folks using the 38XL. Post some photos when you get a chance.

The lens gets good reports. Due to it not selling as well as other xl lens, it holds its price. Adding shift lines to my veiwfinder mask at the mo.
