Bring some wide angles, you might want to shoot the canals and architecture in Amsterdam. Bring a wide aperture if you're planning to visit the red light district at night.😛

The city is in the process of acquiring Red Light district buildings from owners and reduce the number of brothels, as well as illegal street trade, gambling etc. No need to dress as a local when shooting in the streets, they're used to tourists and local shooters alike over there. The Dutch are friendly and broadminded people.

Appointed tourists reservations: De Zaanse Schans (windmills etc) and De Keukenhof (tulips). The Dutch hardly ever go there, I've never visited them in my life.

Keep camera and wallet safe, pickpocketing tourists is a wide spread Amsterdam sport in summer time.
