I was at Brigham & Women's Hospital in Boston yesterday and happened to come across these wonderful Karsh “Healers of Our Age” portraits along the Neeson Pike (2nd floor). Stunningly beautiful! The lighting and attention to detail is exquisite. I've never seen B&W images this large! I understand one of his techniques was to light the hands of his subjects separately from the head/face area.
I saw the recent PBS Documentary on Karsh and am making a date to go see more of his work at the Armenian Museum of America in Watertown, MA.
