KEH low on stock

How can you even tell, given that abysmal search and browse setup? Terribly frustrating experience.

Yes, it's really bad. And things are categorized strangely. Canon RF is not under rangefinder or 35mm but under "collectible." Even though it's less collectible than Leica, which is under rangefinder and 35mm. And most of what comes up when you search does not contain your search terms.

yup, i've shifted my used camera purchases to yahoo auctions via jauce, forums, and, horror or horrors, the auction site.

All this said, I still do have good experiences with KEH, and their condition ratings are pretty fair. I do think that in 2015 they could have a system by which you see actual photos of the actual item, and there are specific comments about its condition. But perhaps that's too labor-intensive to be feasible.

But if you choose M39 / Leica Screw, you get Leica, Nikon, and Voigtlander M39 lenses, and Leica bodies. But no Canon bodies or lenses. The only way to get to those is to go to "collectibles."

That's because KEH has classified the Canon LTM stuff as "Canon S" mount -- which, of course, isn't listed when you Shop By Mount. :bang: You can find it via Shop By Brand, choose Canon, and then under Mount Type select Canon S.

However, there are darn few lenses and bodies listed there these days.

one of the great classic faux pauxs of the digital age. You have a successful GUI, which everyone is used to. Instead of concentrating resources on other issues, you suddenly decide or get talked into a totally new "windows 8"

In the end your sales and or customer satisfaction take a huge hit.

It's a siren which seems to effect a wide range of players, google, yahoo, MS etc

And apple is in there too, look what they did to final cut, and......well I'll leave that rant to another time.

Its all relative.
KEH is only low on stock when they don't have what you want.
A couple of weeks ago I was looking for a Vivitar series 1 135mm f2.3 lens for Nikon. They had just enough of them in stock to supply me with one.
And similarly a while back when I was looking for Nikon F3 screens, they had the ones I wanted to satisfy my needs, which from my perspective meant they had more than enough inventory.

And maybe they can't find large amount of used gear anymore ? From personal point of view i guess most of us will sell their items via ebay, here, there whatever, because KEH was never a good source to sell your items. They give you such a silly prices, that nobody who actually understands their value would agree.

Years back (1980’s - 1990’s) most used camera stores would offer you about 60% of a camera/lens true value. So if a camera body was worth $300.00, they’d offer you $180.00. They, in turn, would sell it for $300.00.

Not sure what percentage KEH is using today (eBay changed everything). Still, I shop there more than eBay. And, on occasion, I’ve sold them stuff too.
