it's not bashing, it's true.
Nikon SP / F / F2 are much more reliable over time than Leica M cloth shutters, requiring substantially less CLAs and adjustments, about 4x less in my experience.
I didn't say it wasn't true. I'm illustrating how silly it is to do it even when facts fly in the basher's face.
I'm particularly fond of the FM's (original, 2 and 3) shutter design. The latest shutter's implementation should be made standard on every single camera, when possible.
But there's no Kumbaya in the photo world.

Just wait for Leica lenses being sold in Japan with a "domestic market quality control" red sticker on their boxes, which should happen quite soon, and you'll get the idea.
A similar incident already happened with the R-mount zoom lenses, which were manufactured in Japan. The German side were so dismayed by how high of a percentage they discarded and/or had to refit that they felt it was appropriate to put a "Made in Germany" stamp on them.
Culture shock in business is a very explosive thing. Had either country still been militarily strong, who knows what and how many sabers would have been rattled.

D'oh!
Yeah yeah yeah, Nikons are the bestestestest cameras ever produced on the face of the Earth. Ever. Every other camera maker should be promptly shut down.
Oh, wait. Where else is Nikon going to plagiarize ideas from? :bang:
P.S. Doesn't it sound really stupid to bash something just for the sake of bashing?
Nikon did start off copying a fine camera - a Contax.
