Alternatively, you can tell me it is a great lens, that will help too.
:)

It's a black 90/2 summicron made in canada.

Now i only can hope that my M2 will be good enough for it, otherwise...i'll have to buy another body :D

I'd kick you if there was a little "kick" smile icon, but since there isn't you got away lucky.

But from my experiences 90s work fine just fine on an M2, and there aren't huge 50 framelines to clutter up the VF as is the case with M3s. I just don't know how much of the VF your Summicron will take up, though I can't believe it will intrude into the 90 frame.

Enjoy your lens.

i thought of the same, eric, but i figured there's no way it would intrude into the tiny 90mm framelines.
But i have the feeling that it's a HUGE lens.
Oh well. It was a reasonable deal so if it really does not work out...i can swap it for stg smaller i guess...

The 90 f2 pre-asph is a great lens. I mean really great.
Extremely sharp at f2 and the contrast is among the best I've seen. That includes the Noctilux.

i say good luck with the lens!!
it certainly has a great rep.

as for me, i went out yesterday with the zi and the hex 90 attached and it was a catastrophe. i felt like i was a mile away from evrything i was aiming at.

joe, up there the far north it is easy to be at a mile from everything you aim at..but here..:D

anyway
i noticed lately i took some shots at 35 and 50mm and the ones that i like the most needed some serious cropping. so, let's try it i said!

One of these?

Typically I carry one body that and a 28 elmarit as my standard walk around kit.
The 90mm cron is my favorite lens for portraits and when I want to stay out of peoples way.

oh god that looks HUGE :))
but i know, it's just the perspective...it is, ...right?

90mm and the M8 crop factor? favourite?really? hm.

Well favorite until I some day can afford a 75 lux, but yeah, I lke it a lot.
And it's not as big as it looks there. I feel like it's weighted well.

Well, I'll volunteer: it's a great lens. I recently bought a 1983 vintage 90mm 'cron to mount on my M7.

I like the contrast, evident in this snap: http://www.pbase.com/hlockwood/image/81606673 taken on XP2/400 rated at ISO 320.

Have fun with it!
