Damn these things hurt!!!!!! 😡 😡 😡 😡

I ended up in the emergency room on Thursday night. For a while all I could think about was the pain, after they gave me some very nice drugs, all I could think about was how cool it would have been to have my camera as I was being wheeled down the hallway to the CT machine! 😛

Been there. In California's Gold Country.

ALMOST forgot my M4-P (which I took in with me).

As the doctor said, "You're on vacation? You pick a hell of a way to relax!"

But even with the on-demand morphine, I didn't shoot anything. My main thought was, "What a good idea socialized medicine is, and I wish I were in Europe."

$1200 later (4 hours, 18 years ago) I was out. A few hours later again I had a REALLY filthy hangover.

Sincere sympathy. Allegedly, it's more painful than childbirth. Mercifully, no more kidney stones since.

Flush the buggers out with whiskey!

Chris: I can't feel the pain, but I have a friend who has somewhat regular bouts with the little buggers; from his experience (the hospital is likely going to name the nephrology wing after him), I send my good thoughts.

I knew there was a reason to drink whisky ... knock on (Double)wood.
