I just ran a short roll through my Kiev 4A and the first 6 frames had about 1/4 to 1/3 of a frame of blank space between them. After that the spacing was normal for the remaining 12 frames on the roll. Any ideas what might be causing this?
Thanks

Has the camera been out of regular use? Excessive spacing is usually due to lack of slip in the spool take-up drive. Maybe it freed up after a few frames? Usually though, you'd expect spacing to get worse further through a roll. Best I can think of...

That is a possibility. I have had the camera for a couple of years. I ran two rolls through it when I got it and, as I recall, spacing was wide over the entire roll. I am guessing that I have not used it since. I will try a few more rolls and see if it improves.
