Well, I`m glad it worked out OK for you.
Always keep in kind "Sitemistic`s" recommendation: "never force anything on a camera" . It`s good advice to live with.
I forced the first Kiev I owned (4AM) and really screwed it up. I should have sent it to be serviced instead. It was a costly lesson for me.

yeah I was very careful taking it apart. once I got someting out of the way, everything basically started running as it should have been in the first place
