Hi
Attached my twin Oleg K 4 / K 4m , with original 1947 script .
This was traced from the internet at tiny size ... blown up x400% x 400% ...traced by hand [ 3mm thick line ]
reduced to scale ... and copied onto silver wrapping paper !
and just spay mounted into place !
Gets rid of the fussy double script !

I like that, Dee. Would it be possible to have a jeweler or trophy shop use that as a guide to engrave it--a bit more long lasting, I'd think.

With the autistic dee's location , my interaction with these klassik Kameras which seem to have been stuck in a time warp , help to shut out some of the noise ! i love my Leica pretenders because they enable me to extend the sameness of Leica II into ''not same '' finishes etc .
[ As for proper engraving , I would need to have the face plates ground down and re-chromed a bit beyond a Designer's ability !]
For much the same reasons , i have no compunction about playing around with post 1970 Kievs well past their expiry date .. but only if no kameras are harmed in the process - though it is easier to rekover Kievs than Zorki-Feds , 'cos the old vinyl is usually falling off ! though a Kiev 2 awaits it's new leather , and a K 2a is now a quasi-1947 ....
I have dde-ficulty with too much info - and Russian script - OPPs - so the simplification to 1947 style helps enormously - though I will thicken up the line and put a box around it so that it looks more integrated - I am also gonna try an English KNeB logo - and maybe a ''Kontax '' !
Watch this space for new leather too !
