Kiev light leaks

Hi

My second Kiev that I got from Oleg also started showing light-leaks in the film I developed today after many rolls of leak-free film. This makes me wonder: Is it possible to make these cameras light tight really? I will follow Kiev survival site's instructions and I have light seals from Jon Goodman and it will probably be an easy fix. But I still wonder how long it will take before it shows light leaks again.

To the best of my knowledge, my 2nd Contax II has been light tight since '38, if that's any encouragement. (still on the original light seals)
