When something this horrific happens, people look for labels, and the labels they are happiest with are the ones that don't describe themselves.
He appears to have been a man: that's 50% of the human race. What was his skin colour? Doesn't matter, as long as it's not the same as the person writing the report. If it is, they politely ignore it.
My own guess is Front National, the extreme right of French politics. Who else is going to target (a) Moslems (b) Jews (c) people with dark skins? An even stronger guess is 'loony', the far right of the far right, with a good dose of mental illness mixed in. Or he might not have any political beliefs at all. When someone is that crazy, how much does it mean to apply any label that the rest of us pretend to understand? The same is true of Anders Breivik, who called himself a patriot and a Christian. Hard to understand either label...
