Kinda of a stupid question ...

Yeah, I know, the only stupid question is the one that is not asked, but I feel stupid here because I think I should know this or at least be able to figure it out from context, but honestly I'm {expletive} clueless here. 🙁

What is "chimping", as in "chimp" used as a verb? It appears to have some connection to (digital) photography, but Webster's sure didn't help.

Actually I think that definition is not 100% correct, in my opinion it means "reviewing (recent) pictures on the LCD of a digital camera and discarding or keeping them".In my definition one can chimp on one's own, in the original one one needs an audience.... 😛
