Kindermann 10oz/16oz Chemistry Volume

I recently purchased some tanks on ebay made by Kindermann in the 10oz (1x35mm) and 16oz (2x35mm/1x120) sizes. There's no information about the min. chemistry volume and it just says max fluid 10oz/16oz. Online I can see they also made tanks with 8oz chemistry capacities.

So which is it? Do I mix up dev to make somewhere between 8-10oz (I'm thinking of HC110 which needs min 6cc per roll)? Or is is 10oz?

You only need enough chemistry to completely cover the reel or reels you’re using. For me that’s about 240ml for a single 35mm reel or around 440ml for two in a Nikor tank. To double-check in your Kindermann tank just pour water in to cover your empty reels and then pour that water out into a measure to determine the volume. The displacement of the film will change that volume by a little bit but not enough to worry about.

Yep - I realised this would be an easy way to test. I have a Kindermann reel with the point on the bottom to ease agitation as well as a flat Honeywell-Nikor. 8oz seemed to barely reach the top of the Kindermann reel so I'll probably just standardize on 9oz to be safe.
