I love looking for canon cameras by spelling it cannon. Sometimes I do get frustrated with the sellers that are clueless but want a mint for what they are selling. More often though, the ones that are clueless about what they have don't ask much and you can get things at bargain prices. The ones that I find to be the worst are the ones who know exactly what they have and think it's worth six figures when it's barely worth a few dollars.

A marvellous case here, this time a basically nice but too pricey Leica (item # 112114148601, on ebay.de); let me try to translate the most embarrasing passage of their text as follows:
«Function could not be tested — but because [the previous owner was a] photographer I am assuming that you [!] works. Gladly the Kamara [!] can be tested prior to purchase, but the film has to be brought. Private sale without guarantees […]»

I have always looked for alternative spelling .
Sometimes it's worth a punt on a poor description with worse photos - I found a near mint Kiev 2a from Spain at 30 Euros , even the case looked unused . this gem amongst the s..t from ex USSR etc .

I appreciate sellers that are either lazy, ignorant, or simply just misspell and don't notice it in their listings, I've managed a few good deals that way. I'm currently the only one "watching" a camera that ends in a few days, here's to hoping the seller doesn't notice they misspelled the listing and they either drop the price or add best offer to the listing.
If I can get it it would be the first camera I've ever purchased just because.
