Kodachrome history / The Library of Congress

This is absolutely excellent

once again, makes me wish Kodachrome could be with us to use and process for rest of my life time ... I guess I will just hope one day Kodak will develop a sensor on the same bases and actually reproduce the same results (like if a Foveon chip sensor with colors closer to K25)

I am probably just spinning my wheels.... but I can dream

I am currently looking into a way I can make my site open to forum postings and user galleries. Once that happens, it will be easier to orchestrate the "Kodachrome-Project" among those who want to participate.

Basically what the project is now is to get everyone to shoot the best work they can with it until it is gone. Then a "Day in the life of" like collective will be culminated for a possible book and a traveling exhibit.

I hope to get the Library of Congress involved soon, the site and greater awareness should help to foster that. We still have a bit of time, but just how much is the question.

So shoot it like it won't be around much longer.....because in all reality....it won't.

I just bought a pack of K-64 and intended to shoot it while it still can be dropped off at Wally's for processing.

I have to admit, I wasn't expecting anything until I saw the result from the first roll of expired K-200... wow is an understatement!

So I'm game with any project that will compile Kodakchrome pictures. It'll be something to look back fondly in the future for sure.

The site now better reflects a more global and celebration approach to this campaign and project. The forum software is on, but PHP needs to be up on my server, so I am a day or so away from the launch of the forums.

But keep an eye on it, things are moving fast....
