Boots do it on a three-for-two special offer ? Drat, I emigrated. However, anyone living near my sister on my next trip back will have to look hard to find some Kodachrome as I will have emptied the shelf.
I only have one roll left now, and have been using only about two a year since I moved over here, sighhhhh.

Nothing new to say--beautiful image--It has a real classic and nostalgia feeling; a time when things were more innocent and happy.
I am looking forward to seeing the rest of the images . . .

Well on the one hand, glorious weather, great beaches, great people - or a local supply of Kodachrome -- tough call
Yep they do a 3 for 2, and with that it works out more or less the same as buying it on the 'net. I'm sure they're hoping folks would go for the Superia 200 or something but we know better

Wow thanks, well read done and I will post a link...
As for a more innocent time, if it helps warm you, that photo was taken only a month ago. And it was a lovely peaceful evening.
Governments want to strike the fear of god into us, the media whips us up into a frenzy when really there's a fair bit of nasty stuff going on but that is totally outweighed by the good stuff out there, and this world is still too beautiful a place to be stuck coweing in the corner of your house!

Nice shot and I really love Kodachrome. I haven't shot any in a few years and everytime I see some work done with it, I remember how much I like it.
I made a Technicolor filter for my D700 files, which produces a very similar look, but of course you don't have that little colored sliver of a gem to hold in your hands, like you do with a K64 slide.
Abasolutely, chromes even dinky 35mm ones are lovely to look at. I think I need to write you a prescription: 1 roll of KR64 a month, take any time after or before meals and don't shoot it in a hurry, relax. I think you'll find the symptoms will clear up soon enough.

I have uploaded more from this series/project a few to my Flickr profile:

There is no clear sequence between one and the other yet (except for the two canal pictures) but I can't upload everything or no one will buy the book and I won't raise any funds for The Parks Trust!

I have just discovered this thread while searching for Kodachrome shots prior to shooting some myself. Really nice shot the colour is so rich . I like your photo essay on MK on Flickr - a different side to the city I see from driving up the A5 and the ocassional visit to Ikea !!

Thanks! A cursory glance at Milton Keynes probably does reveal only blandness, it's functional and it works from the car (compared to a narrow A-road running through a Cotswolds village which is snarled up but very pretty) but when you get on foot and start to explore the grid-squares, they're interesting. For good and bad (and MK isn't perfect by any stretch of the imagination) but it's not the place some people think it is.

Next time I go there I will look again. Thanks for the insight
