I accidentally left a 2 stop Neutral Density filter on my Fuji 645Zi so ended up shooting a roll of 100G 2 stops underexposed. I asked the lab to push process 2 stops and was happily surpised by the results.

I love this film, scans easily and usually don't have to do any post processing color balance adjustments. I'll try this again, on purpose this time, and may use it instead of Provia 400X especially as there is no longer a price advantage with Fuji.

Kodak E100G, Provia 100F, Astia 100F deliver excellent results pushed one stop, and very good results pushed two stops.

Well, Kodak E100G is a stunning film. Excellent neutral, natural colors, excellent skin tones, by far best detail rendition of all Kodak color films (finer grain and especially much higher resolution and better acutance than Ektar 100), and relative high dynamic range (better than most other slide films, about 8 stops).

Let's shoot E100G a lot. Than Kodak will keep it in production.

Cheers, Jan

I have checked the full size ones - really great to be honest. It surely helps that these are 120 and 135, but still - the color looks good and there is no grain to be seen.

I have also opposite experience - I was advised (by a E6 lab in Germany) to expose E100G or E100VS 1/2 to 1 stop more and then let them pull the development - to get more range on the film. They said that Fuji E6 films do not react as well as Kodak ones to this treatment.

I was expecting poor results for a 2 stop push but was surprised to discern no increase in grain. The colours, from my experience with this film, looked a little richer, sightly softer, which I like, I feel that although 100G has great neutral tones , to my eye it can look bit clean and clincal. I think the highlights got a bit blown out, will have to test again, but no loss of shadow detail which I also expected.
